Qumran Canyon is the perfect destination for rappelling in Israel, with its tall cliffs, astounding landscapes, and a touch of history. We run this canyoning adventure twice a week, so it is perfect for individuals looking for that hit of adrenaline, even if they don't have any experience rappelling! Our guides are trained and licensed, so they'll make sure your adventure canyoning in Qumran is fun and safe!
Every Monday and Thursday at 8:00 am
We’ll meet at the entrance to Qumran National Park, near the picnic tables.
Before we set off on a hike, each participant will receive the necessary gear (helmets, harnesses, etc) that will accompany them throughout the tour.
Our peaceful hike will last 40 minutes until we reach the top of the canyon. We will take a moment to enjoy the view of the Dead Sea and Jordan.
Next, we will walk into the canyon towards our first cliff, and begin rappelling! We will rappel down two more cliffs, each more exciting than the previous one. As a bonus, we will crawl along the ancient stoned-carved aqueduct, and learn a bit about the story of the historical site we're in.
In the end, we will drink hot desert tea, and eat some tasty cookies!
